Spanish 12 at Cariboo
Spanish 12 is the final course in the Spanish programme at Cariboo Secondary School. In June of their Spanish 12 year, students will write the B.C. Provincial Spanish 12 exam. Among the objectives of this course is preparing students for a second year university language programme should they choose to pursue hispanic studies at the university level.
Spanish 11 at Cariboo
Spanish 11 is the language course prerequisite for Spanish 12 and the B.C. Provincial Spanish exam at the end of the Spanish 12 year. For students entering Spanish 11 from Spanish 11 intro, this will be their second year of Spanish; however, many students will be entering their third year of Spanish, having already completed Spanish 9 and Spanish 10.
Spanish 10 at Cariboo
Spanish 10 is the second of a four year programme at Cariboo Secondary School. Although most students will have completed Spanish 9 before enrolling in Spanish 10, this second year Spanish course may be a good entry point for those native Spanish speakers who have serious difficulties with written work.
Upon completion of this course, students will enter Spanish 11.
Spanish 9/Intro Spanish 11 at Cariboo
Spanish 9 at Cariboo Secondary School is the first of a four year programme, ending with Spanish 12 and the optional Spanish 12 B.C. Provincial Exam. It is usually offered in a class with Intro Spanish 11 students, students in grade 11 or 12 who need a language 11 credit for university entrance. All students in this level are beginning Spanish language learners.
Following this course, grade 9 Spanish students will continue with Spanish 10, whereas Intro Spanish 11 students will accelerate into the regular Spanish 11 class.
